Hey all check out this beauty!
This is the April 2023 block from me time delivered (aka the ladder block) I love the green and blue and strawberries. Makes me want to take a beautiful spring picnic in a park.... Okay you convinced me to do it. :D lol What makes this block unique: This block has 8 pieces, and it has a really fun stripe look up the middle and two corner pieces to add a little more to the design. It is simple to piece together, and the quilting is a diamond shape that kinda gives it a basket feel. Such a fun block and one that can totally be used more than once. I'm loving the April block. You can check out ME Time Delivered and their subscriptions at: https://metimedelivered.com/?wpam_id=404
I think this one would be fun in so many different colors and I think you could customize it with using the blue corner pieces or not. How much fun and the quilting is Devine. I'm a super huge fan. :D lol
Check out the fun full tutorial on my YouTube channel and I hope you give this cute block a try. Wishing you some happy stitching!! Make something beautiful Cassie

Today I am sharing the March 2023 block (The tulip block) from Me Time Delivered.
This block is SEW CUTE!! It just screams spring to me and the fabrics that came in this box are so bright and cheerful although I think this block would be soooo cute in a lot of different colors. I hope you check it out. What makes this block unique: This block is sew cute! I love how it makes the shape of a tulip. This block starts in the center of the flower, and by placing the same fabric around the pieces that make the tulip, you can pop the flower from the background fabric to make a really cute block. I'm a fan. This is one that feels like spring or like one that you could gift to a friend. The quilting is really sweet and pretty. It's a fun block and I hope you check it out.
The full tutorial is posted on my YouTube channel where I walk you through step by step how to make this block with your embroidery files from me time delivered.

These snowflakes are from ME Time Delivered's Collectible Christmas subscription program, and I decided to combine this cute lace design with some easy-to-make tassel earrings. These earrings would make great gifts and could be worn all winter season long or in July :D if Christmas in July is your thing. I hope you check out Collectible Christmas from ME Time and make some of your own.
What is lace for Machine Embroidery? Embroidering lace means that you make your project on wash away stabilizer and the files are made so that once the stabilizer is dissolved the project will stay together and be a thing all on it's own with out stabilizer of fabric to help hold it in place. Curious how to make these cute earrings and the snowflakes? I got a tutorial for you. Items needed: 1. Me Time Delivered's Free snowflake design and an embroidery machine 2. Wash away Sticky back stabilizer (I recommend kimberbell brand) 3. Wash away stabilizer 4. White embroidery thread 5. 3 skeins of white embroidery floss 6. A tapestry needle 7. A needle threader 8. Earring hooks, circle rings and pliers Optional: 9. Glitter 10. Glue 11. Clear finish Me time delivered SUBSCRIPTION perfectly piced full block stitch out for February 2023 block7/7/2023
The February block from Me Time Delivered Perfectly Pieced subscription is incredible. I love these bright colors mixed in with the white. It is just a fun block. I loved how it pieced together it was very easy and fun. This month we got a really cool fabric (VELVETEEN!!) It's bright pink and really fun to work with. I loved seeing it when I opened this box. I also love love the thread. This month they sent us the glide thread color fawn. It's a really cool yellow-green color in a light shade and it is just beautiful with this selection of fabrics. Of course you can always make this block with any fabric but this bright box was really fun and cheerful to get.
What makes this block unique: This block has a very cheerful feel, and it is full of amazing triangles that are all the same size, and they piece like climbing up a ladder. The quilting has a seashell feel, and it quilts really fast. I love that the fabric pieces required are all the same size, making this block really cool. If you haven't noticed yet I love ME Time Delivered's Perfectly Pieced quilt block subscription. It is just so much fun to make quilt blocks with my embroidery machine. Especially because once they are done and cut out they are already quilted and ready to be sewn together.
They had 6 months of blocks in 2022 starting with the July 2022 block and I know they are going to have wonderful blocks for 2023 as well and the first month does not disappoint. This is the January 2023 block and I am in love with it already. A cute little valentines day envelope block. Need I say more? Okay I will :D What makes this block unique: This block can tumble two ways, abstract and in the shape of an envelope. The quilting is whimsical and loopy. With an optional step to stitch a heart that looks like a heart sticker keeping the envelope closed. It is so adorable and perfect for Valentine's. The nice thing about the heart being optional is if you don't love it for your project, you can choose to leave it off. I hope you enjoy this tutorial and give this block a try. You can check out ME Time Delivered and their subscriptions at: https://metimedelivered.com/?wpam_id=404
I have a full tutorial for this block as well if you are interested in seeing how it works or giving the block a try yourself. It's really fun and really cute. I think I'll make a few more. :D
Enjoy Stitching Go out and make something beautiful! Hugs, Cassie ME Time Delivered Subscription Perfectly Pieced Full Block Stitch out for December 2022 Block7/1/2023
December's block is another incredible block from ME Time delivered's Perfectly Pieced subscription! This block is so much fun to stitch out and I love all of the grey blue colors. I love how this one doesn't feel christmasy but feels like winter. I keep thinking of stories like the Snow Queen when I look at this block.
What makes this block unique: This block is one that has more of a Modern look with all of the straight lines. The coolest part of this block is the thin little strips that are not very wide at all and the amazing straight-line quilting to go with the design. The fabrics this month are all beautiful blues, but I know that if you wanted to sub your own fabric and make this block in any color, it would look amazing! You can check out ME Time Delivered and their subscriptions at: https://metimedelivered.com/?wpam_id=404
As usual I did a full block stitch out tutorial for this block and I hope that you give it a try. I could honestly see this block working for any kind of quilt. Just a reminder ME Time Delivered's blocks come in 2", 4", 6" and 8" sizes. What matters the most is what size your embroidery machine can handle.
How do you know? You just need to check your embroidery field size of your hoop. Some times that is easier said than done so a quick rule of thumb for perfectly pieced. You would move up a size for the hoop. So for example the 8" block while it is stitching is at least 8 1/2 x 8 1/2" so you would want at least a 9 x 9" hoop or bigger to be able to do that block. How I remember it is I need a 4" hoop to make a 2" block, a 5 x 7" hoop to make the 4" block and a 8x12" hoop to make the 6" block. * note I just used common hoop sizes for this example. I hope you enjoy this tutorial for the December block and give it a go. Make something beautiful and Happy Stitching! Cassie
Today on Creating with Cassie I made a video with my kids all about how to transfer their art onto fabric. They had a lot of fun making their coloring pages with dark markers, taping them to the window and then taping fabric over the top and re-outlining their art. After that all they need to do is finish their project.
This process is pretty simple. Step 1: On a regular white piece of paper draw your design with a dark colored marker. Keep it simple outlines are best. Step 2: Cut out the fabric. Make it at least a little bigger than the paper. This helps with taping it to the window. (I recommend muslin fabric for this project. You can get it almost any craft store. You can also find some HERE) Step 3: Iron the fabric flat Step 4: Tape your paper to a nice bright window with a lot of light. Make sure it is one you can reach easy as well. (I recommend masking or painters tape) Step 5: Tape the fabric over the picture. Try to center it as best you can. Step 6: With a pencil or a Water Soluble pen retrace your outline project on the fabric. If using pencil don't press so hard you can't erase the marks. If using a water soluble pen don't forget to wet your marks to remove them after you are finished. Need a pen recommendation check this one out (HERE)
Step 7: Remove the fabric and tape from the window.
Step 8: Remove the paper and tape from the window. Step 9: Peel off the tape and throw it away. Save the drawing to color. Step 10: Finish the drawing as desired. Some recommendations: Hand embroider, paint, glitter, puff paint, color pencil or markers, add buttons and etc. Step 11: Turn your finished drawing into a pillow, wall hanging, bag or whatever makes you happy. This is such a fun process to get your kids art on something that is long lasting. They love it and they have fun seeing something they created from the very beginning turned into a finished project. My kids are making theirs into wall hangings and pillows. Some are painting them, some are adding glitter and buttons and some are hand embroidering their project. The best part of this whole thing for me though is their smiles. Kids love seeing their art come to life in the way that they want it and they love trying something new and crafty. We all hope you give this a try and make something beautiful!! Until next time, Cassie and Crew. me time delivered perfectly pieced SUBSCRIPTION full block stitch out for November 2022 Block6/28/2023
Another amazing block from ME Time delivered's Perfectly Pieced subscription! This is the November 2022 block that makes a wreath. Yes, it seriously does. It doesn't have to but that fact that you can tumble it that way is way cool.
What makes this block unique: This block is one that can be tumbled in two very different ways depending on how you place your fabric. One way makes an abstract look, and another way makes a simple cute Christmas wreath. WHAT! I know it is seriously super cool. The quilting on this block is also unique. It is done in several steps allowing you to easily change colors if you wish, and it has an optional step of stitching berries at the very end. It is super fun. I love this block and I hope that you love it too! You can check out ME Time Delivered and their subscriptions at: https://metimedelivered.com/?wpam_id=404
For this block I used the glide thread color Basil for the green quilting and the glide color Garnet for the red berries. I had a lot of fun making this block and I think this block needs a full special project tutorial.... so stay tuned for that coming soon!
I'll have more fun projects and block stitch outs coming and until then enjoy your day. I hope you get to create something soon. Make something beautiful! Cassie
I love ME Time Delivered's Collectible Christmas Program. For 2022-2023 they have been building a Holiday Village, and the houses are SEW cute. Recently they released this free starter house, and it is soooo adorable. I had to make one and show you how much fun it is to stitch. This video is more for fun seeing this house coming together than a tutorial although you might see a few hints on how to create your house.

Hope you're making something beautiful today!! Cassie Me time delivered perfectly pieced SUBSCRIPTION full block stitch out for october 2022 block6/26/2023
I adore the October Perfectly Pieced block from ME Time Delivered. It's a flying Geese block that can be done completely on your embroidery machine. This block released on October 1, 2022 on ME Time Delivered's website. It's a classic that can be used in so many projects.
Every block with the perfectly pieced program is unique. It has unique piecing and quilting custom made just for that block. This block is a traditional flying geese block. Isn't that fun, but it comes with its own unique quilting. The corners end up with a beautiful diamond shape, and the middle in the triangle centers has beautiful loops that create a flower shape. I'm totally in love with this block!!
This block is so nice to piece, I could feel myself relaxing while making this block. Its one I can see myself making all the time not just because I love how it comes together but also because of how I feel when making it. It's a favorite for sure and I can't wait to start using it in some projects.

My favorite sewing and embroidery notion/tool
AuthorCassie loves to create even if it's not perfect. I'm all about trying new things and seeing what kinds of projects are fun and enjoyable. Some of my favorites have to do with Machine Embroidery so I'll have a lot of that, and other fun artsy/crafty things as well. ArchivesCategories |
